Since we have been on a role lately of reviewing commercial orange juice machines we thought why not jump into reviewing the waring commercial juicer jc4000 from the veterans in the the juicing game waring. When we tend to review newer brands we forget the ones that have been around for ages such as waring who continue to put out fantastic pieces of machinery at great rates.
Who would have known that back in 1936 when the entertainer come mechanical engineering guru Fred Waring was approached by the inventor Fred Osius that they would soon be the biggest names in commercial blenders and juicers. Waring as a brand and as a company that dates we back to before the 1940’s and takes roots from within America at a time when the pioneers in the game would soon be making a name for themselves.
One of the first pieces of machines produced by Waring and Osius was called the miracle mixer which was showcased at the national restaurant show in Chicago. Within a few years of showcasing this new invention to baby boomers the “Miracle Mixer” was getting huge amounts of publicity and eventually found in 35,000 different restaurant locations scattered around the United States. After the miracle mixer got big and post world war two Waring moved its company headquarters to New Hartford conneticut after becoming part of the Dynamics Corporation of America. At this time blenders and juiceres were going from completely manual pieces to electric sets with buttons.
By 1984 Waring as a company gets into several agreements and contract and starts branching out its product line to all kinds of mixers and blenders with the restaurants in focus as well as the end user. The first blender to ever be launched that was fully electric in the United States was actually from Waring and this occurred in 1985. During this year waring found itself on an uptrend and also being used in over 86 countries intentionally all in the span of a few years.
One of the things that we really can vouche for when it comes to Waring, is the fact that they are a grassroots all American Brand. Not only that but they are innovators and pioneers when it comes to different kinds of restaurant equipment and you cannot ever go wrong when it comes to a waring machine bacause more than likely they are the ones who came up with those functions. This is one of the primary reasons we were really excited to test out the waring commercial juicer as we knew that there would be no issues or problems when it came to ease of use, production, and output.
Key Features JC4000
***Of the bat it is quite obvious that the waring jc4000 is meant for larger operations as opposed to the occasional juicing of one glass of orange here or there. This high power commercial citrus juicer can out put several loads of fresh orange juice all in one go so this is great when it comes to using a juicer for restaurants, cafes, or large families.
***The build of the machine is really heavy duty and robust. Not as large as the uniworld juicer we reviewed earlier this week but still not too small. However if we were to compare it to other commercial citrus juicers it is actually on the smaller and lighter side. The total weight of the juicer is 18.1lbs and its dimensions are ten inches by ten inches by nineteen inches. Yes in comparison it is not large but still quite big and great for juicing alot of oranges at once.
***A unique feature of this machine is the fact that the reamer is actually universal when it comes to the reamers of commercial juicers which tend to be case specific. With a universal reamer you are looking to be able to juice all kinds of different citrus fruits ranging from oranges, lemons, and grapefruits.
***The spout of the juicer is quite large which allows for the user to pour juice very easily as opposded to a smaller spout which may be more of an inconvenience when it comes to actually getting the juice out. The great thing about having a large spout is the fact that once you are done juicing a good amount of citrus fruits the juice simply flows and with so much ease we were really impressed. The great thing about a large spout is the fact that it is also very very easy to clean in comparison to a small spout which might end up housing all kinds of material like pulp and juice.
***The spout and the ream are completely removable for easy dishwashing operation. All it takes is a simple dis-assmbly of the parts and a good wash and your machine will be good to go right away.
- When it comes to power the waring juicer is actually quite un-matcheable in the commercial citrus juicing industry. You are looking at an rpm of 1800 with a powerful robust motor yet while juicing the motor is extremely quite.
- With a universal reamer the jc4000 makes it easy for you to juice all kinds of citrus fruits of different shapes and sizes.
- The large spout makes it easy for you to not only drain through large quantities of juice but also makes it very easy to clean.
- The most essential parts in the juicing process which are the polycarbonate reamer and dome are fully removable which allows you to have a very easy time when it comes to cleaning the orange juicer.
- Polycarbonate motor housing which keeps the vibrations and noise out without lacking on any of the power.
- More Product Details
- When it comes to repairing the machine it is actually quite expensive. Waring is known for having very expensive parts built into the machine and when these things break down it could get costly.
- Not exactly the most appealing to the eye but when it comes to juicing you really cannot beat this for its class.
All in all we were really happy with the waring commercial juicer and would recommend it to anyone who is serious with juicing large quantities of citrus juice.
