The world of juicers is vast, so settling on just one can be difficult. Heck, settling on just one type can be difficult. There are several types of juicers, but one in particular usually isn’t given enough credit. Citrus juicers are often overlooked as inferior products to multipurpose juicers, but that’s doing yourself a disservice. Citrus juicers are usually quieter and take up much less space than fancy juicers. They may not do everything, but they juice citruses really well, which is what makes them an extremely useful appliance. To help you find the perfect citrus juicer to suit your needs, I have reviewed the Eurolux Electric Orange Juicer for your consideration.
Top Features/ Specs
- Power: 160 Watts
- Height: 12 inches
- Weight: 4 lbs
- Integrated Filter
This juicer features an integrated filter, which the juice passes through before making it to your cup. The filter allows for cleaner, better tasting juice and catches any stray pits or pulp. This filter shows the extra step that Eurolux is willing to go to create the perfect juicer, and it definitely paid off. I love how smooth and delicious the juice from this juicer is, I wouldn’t even want to know how it would be without the filter.
Another great thing is that it’s made from high quality products and designed to last a long time. The durable and sturdy construction adds a lot of value to this juicer, which makes it one of my favorites. The stainless steel housing is durable and easy to wipe clean, and on the bottom has suction cups to grip any surface and hold the juicer in place. This juicer should always be used on flat, hard surfaces, but the suction cups add another layer of sturdiness so you don’t have to worry about it slipping out from under your hands while you are using it.
The design of the Eurolux electric juicer is meant to take the pressure off of your hands and be as simple as possible. The driving power behind this juicer is in the rubber handle, which is comfy and easy to grip. Once you start pressing down gently with the handle, the juicer automatically cuts on and gets to work, then when you release the pressure on the handle and pick it back up, the juicer automatically cuts off. With no buttons or settings to worry about, operating this juicer couldn’t be easier. You do not have to strain like you would if you were juicing fruit by hand, which is what makes this perfect for people suffering from arthritis and similar conditions.
- Snap up Spout
The idea of having a snap up spout is not unique to this juicer, yet it still elevates this juicer to a whole new level. The spout makes dispensing juice a breeze, and since it is higher up on the juicer it can accommodate a wide variety of cups, carafes, and containers. The fact that it snaps up also means that it won’t leak all over your counters when you are done using it, nor will it drip as you are juicing your fruits, saving you time cleaning up in the long run.
Right away, I loved how compact this juicer was. It’s not a huge, clunky machine with lots of parts like some all- purpose juicers. The design is simple, yet well thought out, which becomes obvious once you use it a few times. For example, when I first saw this juicer online I didn’t think there was a juice collecting bin, but then I realized the juice collecting bin was just discreetly sitting inside the housing unit. I love this because it saves a ton of space and keeps the juicer only a foot tall.
The other thing that I immediately loved was the dual dispensing methods. After filling up the juice collector I had the choice of either dispensing the juice through the spout, or lifting the jug and pouring it. I chose to use the spout, but I liked having the ability to do both. The spout is super helpful and definitely a neat little feature, especially if you have kids. It’s a whole lot easier for a kid to flick a spout up and down than pour juice into a cup without spilling it.
The spout ensures a clean countertop, which means less cleanup for me. The small things are what makes this juicer perfect though, like the suction cups on the bottom of the juicer base. They keep the juicer in place on your counter, so you don’t have to worry about it sliding out from under your hands.
- Stainless steel housing adds to overall durability
- Suction cups allow it to grip countertops
- One size fits all juicing cone
- Juices in seconds
- Operates silently
- Easy on your hands and joints
- Allows you to enjoy fresh juice whenever you want
- Only juices citrus fruit, but it can juice any size citrus fruit very well
- More expensive than other citrus juicers
Overall, I have been very pleased with this juicer and have not run into any problems. It was easy to learn how to use since there aren’t a bunch of different settings or speeds, so the learning curve was minimal. I love that I am able to get every drop of juice out of an orange just by cutting it in half and using this juicer.
Another thing I love is that it’s ready whenever I am, all you have to do is cut it on and it’s ready to be used. Cleaning up is everyone’s least favorite part, but it really isn’t that bad with the Eurolux Electric Orange Juicer since its parts are dishwasher safe. If you’re looking for a simple but efficient juicer, this is a great option, I highly recommend it. It was built to last, so you can get a lot of use from this juicer, it practically pays for itself.
