Blenders, juicers, and food processors tend to have one thing in common; they’re all loud. If you’ve ever tried a centrifugal juicer you already know what I mean. I don’t have a way to make smoothies quietly, but what if I told you there was a way to make juice quietly? The Epica Whisper Quiet Citrus Juicer prides itself on its quiet operation, so I gave it a try to see for myself.
Top Features/ Specs
- Weight: 5 lbs.
- Power: 70 Watts
- Height: 11 inches
- Two Reamers
This Epica citrus juicer comes with two different size reamers so that you can juice whatever citrus fruit you want. From tiny limes to large oranges and even grapefruit, this juicer can do it all. To me, this is just going above and beyond to ensure that this juicer works perfectly, I like that a lot.
- Quiet Operation
Since this juicer is only meant for citrus fruits, it doesn’t need a super strong motor. Instead, it has a simple 70 watt motor, which is still plenty powerful enough to get the job done, without causing a huge disturbance. This is useful for making juice while other people in your family are still asleep, or just for making juice quietly for people who don’t like loud noises.
- Easy to Use & Clean
The best part of this juicer is how simple it is to use. You can start and stop the juicing by just pressing a single button, it couldn’t be any easier. It doesn’t take any special skills to operate this juicer, which makes it a great choice for anyone. And after you’re done using it, the cleanup is a breeze, too. There are just three parts that have to be washed and they can be easily removed and rinsed clean in seconds. The micromesh strainer does not clog, making it that much easier to clean. The parts are not dishwasher safe, so don’t try to put them in the dishwasher. It’s better to just take the couple of minutes and wash them correctly, that’s the best way to ensure the juicer will last a long time.
When shopping for a citrus juice, one of the most important things to consider is how efficient it is. A juicer with all the bells and whistles isn’t worth a dime if it doesn’t do a good job of actually juicing. Even though this juicer’s motor is only 70 watts, it is still extremely efficient, and does a better job than similar juicers. In tests, this Epica juicer extracted more juice than pricier juicers, in a fraction of the time.
This juicer is a lot smaller than I expected it to be, but it wasn’t a bad surprise. After all, whoever said they wish their appliances took up more space? I was eager to try this juicer because of how quiet it claimed to be. So I grabbed a couple of grapefruits out of my fridge and decided to try it out. I cleaned all of the pieces that would be coming in contact with the grapefruit before I put it all together, I recommend you washing it before your first use as well. Then I set it up, which took no time at all. While juicing the grapefruit, I noticed that the reamer does not go in reverse, which was a letdown at first, until I saw how efficient it was. It reamed out all the juice from the grapefruit, so I guess it didn’t really need the reverse function after all.
The reamer itself is a combo reamer, it has 2 different sized reamers in one. I wasn’t sure how well this work to begin with, but then I realized it just made it so you could correctly juice any size citrus. The juice that is extracted flows directly down to the spout and out into your cup, so make sure you have a cup under there, or something to catch the juice, if the spout is in the downward position.
This juicer has made my mornings a hundred times better, there’s nothing quite as refreshing as fresh juice. It puts me in the right mood to start the day and I know it is way healthier than store bought juices. I’ve even replaced my morning cup of coffee with a cup of orange juice, it gives me the energy I’m looking for without any of the caffeine.

If you are still on the fence about whether or not to get this juicer, let me go ahead and push you over the edge onto the “buy” side. I hate appliances that are big and confusing. Customization is nice, but having 20 different settings and modes to choose from can be overwhelming. Sometimes, you just want to keep things simple, and this juicer is perfect for that. And unlike some juicers, this one actually lives up to its promises. I was amazed at how quietly this juicer operates.
The motor is only 70 watts, so it’s not like a food processor, which you can hear from the other side of the house. I’ve been able to use this juicer in the kitchen without disturbing my husband in the living room. This has been the perfect little juicer for me and my family, I have already recommended it to several friends, but I recommend it for you as well. This is one of the few products that really is good all across the board and good for absolutely anybody. Check it out on Amazon here
