With electric citrus juicers, you can finally take the work out of making orange juice. Electric citrus juicers do a large majority of the work for you, depending on how good they are, and gets you on your way to drinking freshly squeezed juice faster. Citrus juicers tend to share a lot of the same features, but some of them stand out from the others, including the Breville BCP600SIL, so I tested and reviewed it, which you can read all about below.
Top Features/ Specs
- Weight: 7.1 lbs.
- Power: 110 Watt
- Height: 18 inches
- Warranty: 1 year
- Finned Juicing Cone
Instead of having multiple juicing cones for different sized fruits, this Breville just has one, super effective juicing cone. The edges of the juicing coned are finned, which helps it extract every drop of juice from your fruit. Whether you are juicing limes or oranges, the finned juicing cone has your back. Best of all, the juicing cone is made from tritan plastic, which is shatterproof. Mom’s everywhere can relax, your kids won’t be able to shatter this juicing cone.
Single Hand Operation
This juicer can be operated using just one hand, thanks to the large, overhead lever. Just pressing the arm down begins the juicing process, and then lifting the arm stops the juicing process. In the end, you’re left with just dry, juiced orange peels and a glass of orange juice. This simple juicing process speeds things up tremendously and juices way faster than you could by hand. It also takes out a lot of the work and makes it easy on your hands. Manual juicing can be very taxing on hands, especially overused hands and hands with joint pain.
Safety Locking Arm
This isn’t just a cheap little juicer that will break after a few uses. This juicer is made from strong materials and includes a safety locking arm to ensure your personal safety. The safety locking arms makes it so the machine won’t turn on unless the arm is correctly locked into place. There aren’t many moving parts, but this safety arm keeps them in place and prevents them from hurting you in any way.
This is no cheap juicer, and you can tell just by looking at it. Its chic, fashionable design helps it blend in with any kitchen. It was also cleverly designed to be very easy to store, measuring only 18 inches tall and 7.5 inches long and wide, so it easily slips into most kitchen cabinets and fits perfectly in corners. There is also a built in cord storage area, so you don’t have to struggle with wrapping it around the base and tangling it up just to try to store it.
I had heard great things about this juicer from a friend, but it took me a while to go through with actually purchasing it because it seemed too expensive. However, I was finally convinced and justified the cost to myself. It didn’t seem like a necessary appliance to have, but then I started finding myself craving a cup of orange juice with breakfast more and more often. My friend continued to swear by this juicer, so I figured why not give it a try?
Once I received this juicer, I immediately set it up to test it out. It was the first time I had tried an electric citrus juicer, so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. I thought I would still have to do some kind of work to get the juice, even if it was just pressing the arm. The first thing I tried to juice was limes. I went to press down on the arm and it immediately started juicing, I barely had to press down. When I took the peel out it was totally dry, so I was pretty impressed right away. I tried out a few other fruits and then took out the cone, filter basket, and juice collector so that I could clean them. Cleaning couldn’t have been any easier, thanks to the fact that only a few pieces need to be washed and they can be easily removed. The cone, filter basket, and juice collector can all be removed at once, so it saves time and prevents drippage.
I have not had to use the warranty, but I am happy it is there. The fact that it came with a warranty was definitely a big plus when I was deciding to buy. If I could change anything about this juicer I would just make the warranty longer, but I wouldn’t change anything about the juicer itself, it’s great.

Overall, I have been very pleased with this Breville citrus juicer. It is simple, yet effective, and makes it easy to get fresh squeezed juice on demand. Not only is squeezing your own juice more fun, it is also healthier since it doesn’t have all the sugar that store bought juices do. The other great thing about this juicer is you can use it every day or once a month, it is durable enough to last a long time and always performs great. That’s why I recommend this juicer to anyone that does not already have one. It is versatile and just as good for college students as it is for the elderly. If you’re looking to juice more than just citrus fruits, you should look into an all- purpose juicer, but if you don’t plan on juicing everything in sight, this is a great option to consider.
